Chapter Philanthropy and Service

Zeta Tau Alpha’s national philanthropy is breast cancer education and awareness. Through national partnerships with the American Cancer Society®, Bright Pink®, and the National Football League, ZTA has been spreading the word about breast cancer prevention and awareness across the country. To help fight for this cause, Furman ZTA puts on an annual talent show, Big Man on Campus, for Furman men to compete in and raise money. We also frequently set up Think Pink tables, host Pink Out games, and have fundraisers with other fraternities and local businesses in the Upstate.

1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer during her lifetime. Thanks to improvements in early detection and treatments, this number as well as the mortality rate have decreased in recent years.

There are currently more than two million women are being treated for breast cancer and with the help of Zeta Tau Alpha, the Furman community, alumnae, friends, and family, we can make a difference and Think Pink.
